team win All Ireland Street
League Finals

In
what proved to be a very exciting days football and a great day
out. (CASP) Clondalkin Addiction Support Programme won the final
of the Ireland’s Issues Magazine All Ireland Street League
championship beating Crosscare in an exciting final Wednesday
May 11th. Seventeen teams representing homeless agencies and treatment
centres such as focus, Coolmine Therapeutic Centre and coming
from as far away as Belfast and Limerick participated. Ireland’s
Issues Magazine use the finals as a basis for selecting a panel
from which a team will be selected to represent Ireland in the
Homeless Street Soccer World Cup, which will be held in Edinburgh
in July.
Casp were presented with the Ireland’s Issues Fair City
perpetual Trophy by the Lord Mayor Michael Conaghan and Fair City’s
Bella (Jim Bartley) who donated the trophy on behalf of Fair City.
Ireland’s Issues would like to thank Dublin City Council
for the use of their splendid facilities in Mellows Road Finglas.
