Ireland top group and reach stage 2 of World Cup.

Ireland continue to remain favourites with the local supporters when they topped their group to reach the second stage of Homeless World Cup.With impressive wins over USA 11-2, hong Kong 8-2 Rumania 12-4, and France 11-2 Ireland remain unbeaten are progressing in style. The side have impressed everyone with their goal scoring ability flair and tactical savvy. Indeed it is hard to see a weakness in the side with goalkeeper Thomas Cullen proving an imposing figure at the back and all the fowards capable of putting the ball in the net. Indeed Coach Dan Carey charges have proved themselves a disciplined and and popular side with midfield powerhouse Jimmy Bell receiving Wednesday's Nike fair play award and a chegue for €500 dollars.
"It is a dream come true says Jimmy, playing for Ireland with such a great bunch of lads and with my daughter Tori's birth 2 weeks ago I'm living on a cloud at the moment."
Captain Ross Crosbie is full of praise for his teammates but is not getting carried away reminding everyone that there are 56 teams in the competition and only one will go home World Cup champions. "We've a job to do, we're well prepared and we're focused." A sentiment echoed by Coach Dan Carey
