With a succession of wins over Poland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Greece and Holland. Ireland beat South Africa 10 -3 and Ghana 5-3 to find themselves topping the second qualifying group and look certain to make it into the Quarter Finals of the Homeless world Cup on Saturday.
Of the 48 nations competing Ireland have looked most impressive scoring freely while been very tight defensively.
“They will make the quarter finals and go on" says a confident Sean Kavanagh of Ireland’s management team. "This team has what it takes, they are the most skillful group of players I have had the pleasure to be involved with, Trapattoni might like to take a look, there are no prima donnas on this team they are all proud to put on the green of Ireland and deserve the honour."
