International Caps For 2008 Team
World Cup team Melbourne 2008 receive their International caps Christine Smith reports.

At a recent ceremony in City Hall Dublin. The team that represented Ireland in the 2008 Homeless World Cup received their International Caps from the Football Association of Ireland.
Lord Mayor Emer Costello and FAI president David Blood were in attendance with Irish soccer legend Ray Houghton presenting the caps to the lads.
“I’m delighted to be here to present these caps on behalf of the Football Association of Ireland. To represent your country in an International Tournament is what all sportspeople aspire to but only a few ever get that opportunity. You are among that elite group and you can take great pride in what you have achieved, your International Cap is a testament to the hard work and training you have put in over the years.”
The Irish team won the Dignitary cup in Melbourne in 2008 and finish 9th in the Homeless World Cup.
