Once again it is that time of the year. After competing in the Ireland’s big Issue Magazine’s Street League for the past year we have now selected the team that will represent Ireland in the 2009 Homeless World Cup that will take place in Milan, Italy in 2009.
With over 500 players competing in the leagues it was a very difficult task making the final selection. It is a tribute to the lads that their hard work, determination, discipline and high level of skill has seen them come through a rigorous selection process. The lads are very proud to represent their country and donning the green of Ireland. Although working within a tiny budget you can be sure the lads will give it their all, when they step out on to the field of play.
With 3 lads from Dublin, 2 from Limerick, one each from Waterford, Carlow,and Mullingar it is has got countrywide representation.
